Though the first half proved difficult for the North team at the 2012 South Dakota High School All-Star Games last month, the squad, which included Dell Rapids Quarrier players Channing Barber, Zachery Barber and Hunter White, proved tough on offense for the South team.

The groups, which were assembled for an Aberdeen-hosted several days of practice followed by an all-star game Wednesday, July 18, faced off with a 15-7 first half favoring the South, and a massive haul of points in the second half ending the game at 27-15, favoring the North.

Channing and Zachery offered up a trademark amount of speed on the offense, aided by two other sets of twins, Tyson and Taylor Zemlicka of Waverly-South Shore and Jason and Justin Greenway of Mitchell.

Channing rushed 14 yards for the North, while Zachery rushed 14 more. White played for the team’s defensive line. The team managed 17 first downs by game’s end.
