Volleyball: Bulldogs eke out Flandreau win
Baltic rides victory into district play

With the final regular-season match of the season at stake, the Bulldog volleyball team went out with a bang, knocking down Flandreau in a tight 3-1 result.
With set scores at 26-24, 26-24, 22-25 and 27-25, the girls played in what coach Matt Konz referred to as an “exciting” and “electric” atmosphere.
“The fans were great, and the team responded, playing very well,” the Baltic coach said.
Allie Walter buoyed Baltic with a 33-kill match, also contributed 13 blocks, 10 digs and three aces to the Bulldog cause. Morgan Forsch knocked down 14 kills and four blocks, as well as grabbed six digs for the night, while Jenna Brende picked up seven kills, four set assists and nine digs.
Michelle Schwab tallied four kills and eight digs for the match-up, and Mariah Hanisch totaled seven digs. Rounding out the Baltic rankings were Hunter Roberts, who picked up six digs, Makenzie Moe, who managed five digs, and Abby Weinzetl, who nailed 28 set assists and 11 digs.
